Homemade Hot Cocoa and Whipped Cream

Today it was cloudy, windy, and cold.  So I was feeling like making hot cocoa.  Here is the recipe that I created.
                                                                       Hot Cocoa

Makes 8 cups

Ingredients
1 1/4 cups water
1/2 cup Dutch cocoa
1 small cinnamon stick
1/4 cup miniature marshmallows
1 tbsp caramel
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup sugar
6 1/2 cup milk

Mix the water, cocoa, cinnamon, marshmallows, caramel, vanilla, and sugar in a saucepan on medium heat.

Keep it on medium heat until the sugar and cocoa is dissolved. 

 Then add the milk and heat to desired temperature. 

Whipped Cream

Ingredients

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 white sugar

Use the whisk attachment and whip it at the highest speed until it is fluffy (don't whip too long or you'll get butter!)

 And the finished product is hot cocoa with whipped cream and a few cocoa covered marshmallows on top!
